The Warehouse Covid Statement


Risk Assessment for dealing with current Covid-19 situation in the workplace. It is not likely to cover all scenarios and each employer should consider their own unique circumstances. 

General Management

  1. Information on Covid-19 control will be communicated to all staff, visitors and customers.

  2. Staff will be regularly reminded of the Covid-19 control measures in place and the need to follow all the relevant procedures.

  3. Appointed Covid-19 managers will check to ensure that appropriate procedures are being followed and that facilities provided are maintained

  4. Posters will be displayed in prominent locations

Hand Washing 

  1. Hand washing facilities with soap and water will be in place

  2. Disposable paper towels will be provided

  3. Handwashing facilities will be cleaned, bins will be emptied and soap, paper towels and hand sanitiser replenished regularly

  4. Gel sanitisers will be provided in every area

Cleaning 

  1. Surfaces that are touched regularly will have cleaning regimes, particularly door handles, light switches, juice bar area and the gym equipment

  2. Where possible, gym equipment will be used by one person and then cleaning materials will be provided and must be used between each change of user

Staff 

  1. Staff will be instructed not to attend work if they have developed Covid-19 symptoms or have been informed that they were in close contact with someone who is Covid-19 positive (depending on the current laws)

General admission 

  1. If anyone becomes unwell with a new continuous cough, loss of taste or smell ,or a high temperature, they will be sent home and advised to follow the government guidance

  2. There will be arranged cleaning of the site if someone develops symptoms at the Warehouse

  3. If symptoms have been developed in The Warehouse, management will contact the Public Health Authority to discuss the care and take on any advice or actions necessary

Social distancing 

  1. Limiting the number of people in the gym so social distancing rules can be met

  2. Spacing out of tables in the juice bar and lecture rooms

  3. Leaving non-fire doors open to reduce the amount of contact with doors and improve ventilation

  4. Providing washing facilities and hand sanitisers in communal areas and at all entrances and exists

  5. Signs to remind people to stay safe and socially distance when possible

PPE 

  1. Face coverings will be worn in situations designated in current Coronavirus Regulations and when required by law

  2. PPE will always be available and used when required/necessary


Mental Health 

  1. Management will always promote mental health & wellbeing awareness to staff during the Coronavirus outbreak and will offer whatever support they can to help
